KM Fight: Krav Maga Fighting Classes
Krav Maga Worldwide offers programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level students through our KM Fight program. We work on all areas of hand-to-hand combat training: attacks, defenses, timing, feints, tactics, movements, and vision. We develop the right skills for sparring and ring fighting, but remember, the street is not the ring. The bad guy isn’t fighting for points and neither should you, so we emphasize down and dirty techniques—what is effective to win in actual self-defense situations. Our no-rules system of fighting will give you the tools you need to stay safe. In our fighting classes, you’ll develop the hand-to-hand combat skills needed to survive a violent assault. Thai Pads
Thai pads are padding held by an instructor or training partner used to practice safely striking human-sized and moving targets and to expand their hand-to-hand combat training. Used in a similar way to focus mitts and boxing hand pads, Thai pads are made to take strikes with punches, kicks, elbows, knees, all used to great effect in fighting classes for adults and kids.
Stand-Up Fighting
Boxing
Students of our boxing classes will punch focus mitts, hit heavy bags, train footwork and movement, spar, and learn the ins and outs of western style boxing. Technique and conditioning will be emphasized as students are run through the training regimens of professional boxers.
Kickboxing
Students of Kickboxing will be trained with the same drills and training methods used by professional fighters. Students will spar as part of their hand to hand combat training when the instructor feels they are ready.
Ground Fighting
Grappling
What do you do when a fight goes down to the ground? The grappling course focuses on ground combat, teaching effective techniques used by grapplers in ground fighting against opponents of all sizes. A must for women who want the strength and skill to ward off unexpected predators, these fighting classes are for students of all levels.
MMA
Mixed Martial Arts borrows techniques from a variety of fighting and self-defense disciplines. These classes can help with the transition from stand-up fighting to ground fighting and back with strikes, maneuvers, and positions to stay in control of any confrontation.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
KMW Jiu-Jitsu courses introduce aspects of the Brazillian martial art most useful to supplement core Krav Maga techniques. Jiu-Jitsu is all about taking an opponent to the ground while using chokeholds and joint locks to defeat opponents who may be physically stronger or larger.
